Cupra display panel

Hi,

Just recently the display panel on my cupra, where the fan speed/temperature, outside temperature, mpg etc etc is shown, has started doing something different.

There is the outline of a car on the display panel, which has started flashing 2 or 3 times every time the car is started and the returns to the normal outline whilst driving.

Does anyone know why this may been happening or what it is.

My passenger wing mirror was recently knocked off and a new one fitted, which has also stopped the outside temp display from working, I don't know if this is a coincidence or not, that the car outline seems to have started flashing since the new ming mirror was fitted?

Any ideas

Thanks

Mark

How is the outside temp fitted, is it a simple connection?

Seat provided the wing mirror to the garage that fitted it, should all of the fittings etc be included.

yeah a wired connection but corrodes over time (commonn fault) do a search........

yeah should have just fitted the temp sender back in, its a black sender (ul see if at the bottom of the mirror) and thats has a long wire in to the passenegr foot well.....

basically if its boned, ul get a new sender and wire, cut the wire and solder it on.......as its a right arse to feed the wire back thru the door to the footwell conection.
