Has anybody decated their mk2 Cupra?. I know its probably fraught with danger but would like to know if its possible.

i believe it should be fine. Your turbo is generating the required back pressure anyway so decating should be fine, until MOT when u just drop it back in for the day.

I will be ditching the o/e zorst once i can afford a full 3" system, but in the interim i was thinking about decat. Was wondering if it would throw up a load of fault codes. I have vagcom.

It is bound to throw faults as the lambda probe is gonna be getting unusual readings way outwith the expected norm.

I think it may be ok to run decat if you have stage 2 software. You need to ask your tuner.

Its not danger for your car. You can use decated exhaust pipe just fine, but you have to disable o2 sensor. Disabling o2 oxygen sensor will eliminate the CEL errors. Errors will be there and going to happen (limp mode) with decated exhaust or with racecated pipe without disabling.
