lookin for a de-cat pipe for my 01 leon cupra have a milltek cat back ss system on it also what happens to the lambda sensors on removing the cat does this throw up an engine management light any info greatly received
You have to have it plugged in, but to prevent it coming up with a light on the dash, either have it spaced or a stage 2 remap to map it out. Theres a recent thread a day ago on this.
One of the new sponsor PiperRS have some good offers for decats.
my leon had a vault code come up on vag com about a faulty rear lamda sensor so i just unplugged it to see what happened and there does'nt seem to be any difference in its running and there is no engine management light on so i dont no what the score is with that
the rear lambda sensor is mainly there for to check the cat effencity.
has your mpg suffered?
i have the same issue, (cant be asked to fix it), relpaced twice but keeps mucking up.
hi guys,i recently bought a decat pipe and after fitting it with no spacers to my lcr i had a e,m light come on,so i ignored it for a few days, until the coil packs started blowing,i changed them 3 times until i just put the cat back on,since then the coils have been fine, sounds strange but it happened.
