The Seat Cupra rear (console) bush is p/n 6LL 407 183 the small front bush is part of the TCA assembly, but Powerflex can supply a replacement two-piece one if you really need to change them - 2-off of each are required, and try not to be fobbed off with the normal "improved" rear bushes which they might think are a better bet!

I've been told the my bottom arm bush has split in two. Does that help at all? Is the 6LL 407 183 the one I need then?

As I answered in the other thread that you posted to - yes. These original bushes are voided - ie have holes in them, these holes tend to tear and as such tear through the two webs of rubber that separates the inner part from the outer part, so eventually, if left for a long time, you would end up with an outer ring as a tight fit in the aluminium bracket (console) and an inner ring as a tight fit to the lower arm (TCA) locating/pivot pin - but I'd doubt if many break up completely into two parts, running around like that is a no-brainer and very VERY noisy/clunky/ feeling crappy!

The "6LL" part is solid rubber so should never suffer from this, it could be that the new improved voided ones now have four webs like the new Golf and Leon and Octavia.

As RUM4MO has said 6LL 407 183 are the Cupra TCA rear bushes which you will need two of. Roughly £7 each incl VAT.

Whilst you're replacing those you might want to think about replacing your ARB at the same time. Due to the age of your car you mostlikely have an older style ARB fitted with plastic bush retainers. As you've probably read and know, these retainers crack and fall off allowing the ARB too much free movement. That on it's own can cause a loud knock as the ARB will constantly hit part of the subframe.

So change anti roll bar bushes too you reckon?

Just to clarify a point, if you take Altech's advice, and find that you do still have an older style "plastic end stops" ARB and find that it is nearly u/s, you will always need to replace the ARB mounting bushes as the diameter of the new ARB at that point is now smaller due to there now not being a plastic end stop "tail" thickness of plastic on top of the metal of the ARB. The other reason that Altech would have mentioned "changing ARB" is that a lot of labour time is saved if you do both these jobs at the same time. Just to round off your growing list of things to change, maybe its time for some new ARB droplinks as they fail frequently, cost pennies and get disconnected at one end when the ARB is being replaced - Christmas has come early for your car!!

Anychance you know if a pivot pin on the wishbone will fit fine with the cupra bush?

From what i can see, some wishbones are fitted with pivot pins and some with pivot bolts. Can these pivots be changed?? the hole in the cupra bush has a normal hexagon shape or can you order these with the pin shape in?

Cheers, Trist
