Hi guys

A bit of wild shot here from Denmark, hope that you have some more info that can help

My dealer failed to inform me of the bucket seat option when ordering last year, or i missed it my self you can say. Anyway I have seen them, and I must have them now, you know that feeling ;)

And the dealer has now told me that they can only be ordered along with a new car, and not as accessories at this point 5 month after. I find this very strange...

Have any of you heard of this, something like it, or maybe know of other ways to get this seats??? :worship:

He’s talking BS, otherwise how would they be replaced if damaged in an accident?

Just need the part numbers. They’ll be very expensive though as have airbags built in.

But if you are buying the whole seat not just a cover...

Maybe eBay is your friend then. That or get some Recaro Sportster CS with airbags.

Excuse the thread hijack but I have the so-called bucket seats in my car (Carbon Edition) and have a problem...or rather the wife does.

She rates them as among the most uncomfortable in all the cars we have had over the years ...and we have had a lot of cars!

The complaint is the hardness and sort of lumpiness of the cushion, the backrest being firm but Ok because the shape is fine.

I find them acceptable but only in a 7 out of 10 way and know exactly what she means.

Just in case anyone thinks I have no appreciation of performance car seats I can tell you that the seats in my previous Type R FK8 were 9/10 and the Recaro Pole Position seats we had in a car some years ago, which were true "buckets", were 10/10!

However, not heard any other gripes on here,so it must be just us that are out of step?

FK2 & FK8 seats are far better than the seat buckets

I like the seats myself, comfy but supportive enough.

Don’t get me wrong they’re not in the same league as my old sparcos or as others have said the ones in the Honda. But I suppose it’s a balance of cost/comfort etc. They’re certainly not as good as the recaro sportster CS fitted to some hot golfs/audis of old.

I do miss these seats myself...
