Was never on the regular Ateca... we'll see wwhether any one with a Cupra Ateca says otherwise... cause you can always wind the window down to hear the engine ;). May be on electric versions to give the throbbing sound...
That is good.
Was wondering if I would have to reach for the OBDeleven as I did that on the current Leon cupra to turn off the soundaktor.

Ha yes I think electric cars might need some sound on outside as well to avoid pedestrians being knocked down !!
Ferrari sound for that :)

I nearly got knocked down by one in Japan. It cut the corner to avoid the lights via a Family Mart, in one end and out the other exit past the lights, proceeding at some speed.

Anyhow if someone with an Ateca Cupra 2020 they can check for the Structure Borne Sound control unit in VCDS / Obdeleven would answer the question as to whether the hardware is in there.

If so from the Briskoda site you could try:

Select ' Structure Borne Sound' Control Unit

Select 'Adaptation'

Select 'Volume of structure-borne noise actuator'

You can then adjust volume of the sound generator as a percentage. By default mine was set to 100% but I changed it to 0%.

With the above change the sound generator is not heard in any Drive Modes, including Sport.

That's doing it without an app. SFD only applies to certain control units as I put up on the Leon 4 thread. Suspect it the car's got it, they wouldn't go to the extra level of protecting it from mods.

Recently bought a CUPRA ATECA VZ1 2023 model and realised there is no sound actuator. The sound from outside the car is great - but most of the time you can’t hear the exhaust from inside the cabin… especially when music is on. Does anybody know if this is something that can be coded in or installed? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
