Cupra £16,999 @ motorpoint

Motorpoint are doing Leon Cupra at £16999 including metallic (and it's the best colour ie Inferi black). Ideally I'd have bluetooth but at that price I'm pretty tempted...
Thoughts and anybody dealt with motorpoint recently?

They were selling them at that price around 3 months ago.
They are imports - only 2 years guarentee (I think), possibly higher insurance costs too.
If you are good at negotiating you should be able to get a standard UK one for £17,800.


EDI: When I looked at them 3 months ago, they were imports, might be worth checking that the current stock they have now is.

It's not the Seat Bluetooth, it's a generic one as far as I can see.

I was under the impression that Motorpoint import from Ireland and therefore suitable to be sold in the UK and the Dealer honours the warranty, Is this not correct then,

ok so it's a 'grey import' and maybe destined for Malta/Cyprus/some other stupid place where they drive on the left
Just phoned em up and apparently it's another £350 to put it 'on the road' and the deal breaker for me, it's pre-registered!

I priced up a Golf GTi from Motorpoint properly and yup it was a grey import.

The stock at the time were from Holland. Used to do some work for the motor trade and exports of RHD cars from Holland are common from other manufacturers as well.

Wasn't impressed as they couldn't even tell me if an alarm came fitted on the car. Basically you'd need to know the UK spec and compare the spec with the physical car.

Worked out cheaper than a U.K car would have been, but you had to add delivery and prep costs onto the price (unless I went to Newport and took the car as is). Part exchange price was also about £1500 less than what I ended up getting against the Cupra...
