my current leon (mk1 fr tdi) looks fine running on its original 17" alloys, so i never felt the need to upgrade them. tbh i never liked the mk2 leon at all at first, however it's now starting to grow on me and i can easily see myself opting for one when i change later this year.

only thing is the standard 17" alloys. to me they don't appear to fill the wheel space enough, so i'm thinking i might have to opt for the 18" upgrade. for those that either own a mk2 fr or simply have an opinion ... is it crying out for 18s or does it look just fine to you on its 17s?

also, for those running 18s, has ride quality been adversely affected?

I've seen about 20 Leon FR's now (real life driving on the roads).

Every single one has 18"s on them .....

I think that says something tbh !

I had my test drive in a leon tdi fr with 18s and thought the ride was great. thats why when mine is deliverd im goin to put 19s on it because the ride wont dramaticaly change and those wheel arches really are huge and need filling. Although 18s and lowerd suspension works a treat aswell.

I agree that the 18's look so much better.
I've had my Yellow 170FR for one week & 400 miles now & she rides beautiful. It is a firm ride, but feels solid & is great around corners & on rural roads. You gotta have the 18's.
