I assume this can be fitted to the 1.6 sport too ? - how much (roughly) would a SEAT dealer charge ??

PS - i thought the 1.2 and 1.4 mk5 already had cruise control ??

Nah, u probably right there actually Tweedz, would be pointless sticking it on the 3 and not the 5 dr.

Any ideas how much SEAT would charge to have it fitted, i mean it would be a nice feature to have (since i do quite a high mileage), but i wouldn't really pay more than £150 for it.

Andy

only one way to find out
hahah. wouldnt think they would charge more than £150 for it.
i asked my local dealer if i could have the bluetooth coms fitted after the car had arrived and he said optional extras were only fitted when the car was being built
if they will fit your cruise control please let me know ;)

IIRC my dealer wanted £380 to retro fit CC. For me it was part of the deal (no CC and I don't buy the car)

They retrofitted it but had problems as it was a petrol and they didn't realise an extra wire was needed.

£150.....................dream on.

Cruise Control has dropped off my list then in that case !! - i now (first priority) want USB connection, not Ipod, just USB from a USB Memory stick. I did query this and they quoted £110 parts, £90 to fit ! - £200 seems a little steep just to add USB connectivity !

Andy

Hey just reading this and wondered if you know if it can be done on a ecomotion mk5 ibiza as I have been trying to find out for quite a while and the dealers isn't that helpful. Happy to pay up to 400 as I do so much millage hence the Ecomotion.

C/C was standard on the SE not sport and then the Fr up, I think the C/C will be standard on the sport from 2011 (2011 modal)

I believe that it's an optional on the sport but non of the others. I guess the loom isn't there but I want to know if it is actually possable to get the sport indicator stick and wiring it in with the controller and using vag on it, or is it not compatible.

Attack of the Franken-thread...

does anyone know for sure either way if CC can be retro-fitted to an 09 1.9 tdi sport SC?

reason I ask is the car is coming up to the magic 'should I stay or should I go' 3 year mark. SEAT have offered it to me to keep at a silly price, almost too good to pass up.... BUT I really, really wish I'd ticked the CC box. I do lots and lots of motorway miles and it's close to being a deal breaker tbh. (not that my local dealer appears to give a rats ass)

I know I could chop it in and get a new one with lots of toys, but I do so love that torquey as 'heck' old school 1.9 diesel lump. So many hills where I live ;)

My local dealer has proved to be less than impressive (missed a dead headlight bulb on a major service, denies a paint issue etc) and simply comes across as can't be arsed... so I am a little reluctant to accept their answer of 'we've not done it so its not possible'.

Anyone?
