Cruise control

Im looking to get cruise control for my 04 leon cupra as my main beam isnt working when stalk is pushed forward but i can flash by pulling back (which rules out a fuse me thinks) on it. Ive tried the old rev to 2000 revs and press the brake with the other foot and revs should drop to idle test and it dont work for most of the kits out there. Anyone got one fitted and can say what i need to get. cheers

Silly question but have you checked your main beam with the lights switched on?. It doesn't come on when pushed forward if your lights are off but still flashes when pulled back. Just checking to save any future
