Cruise Control with DSG

Simple one, does the cruise allow you, when mated to a DSG auto box, to raise and decrease the speed with the buttons completely freely, ie not stopped if you (the car) changes gear (as there's no clutch)? How about when in 'manual' mode, if you change gear does that cancel the cruise, or is it just the brake?

Thanks

Rob

only hitting the brake, or cancel button will cancel it

you can adjust the speed on buttons too. as well as change gear

It will change gear automatically (e.g. if going up a hill) to maintain your set speed.

For ultimate laziness, spend a couple of hundred quid extra and the car will also switch your lights on, wipe your windscreen and dim your rearview mirror for you... :)

Now, I wonder how much the "Xmas Card Mailing" optional equipment will cost?

Auto windscreen wipers are a pain in the ass, specially if you use anything like Rain-X.

I would have agreed with you when I had my Golf and my wife had her Beeza, but they seem to be much better on my Leon... And I have RainX as well... Must be the luck of the draw?!

They're mostly ok on mine, sometimes you have to flick them off then on again to wake them up. Having come form a very manual Ford it still feels a bit odd driving with two hands on the wheel and using only my right foot. I'm trying to teach my left foot to do the braking but the damn thing is like taking a sledgehammer to shell a peanut.
