Has anyone been able to or even bothered to paint the stitching on the steering wheel and gaitor etc on an LC to red?

Can it be done effectively? If so, whats the best way?
think it looks great and would love to have it in my car.

just wondering if you could use a little bit of bleach on the stitching to see if it would lose the colour and then use a little red dye to see if it works. Just an idea in my head and thought it would be worth a go. Im not sure if doing this would bleach the leather aswell mind so dont go shouting at me if it ruins your wheel.
I would ask an automotive trimmer how much it would be but probably cheaper to either have a bash yourself or just keep looking for an LCR wheel. not that expensive

Ah was just a thought. Seems a lot more hassle than its worth.

Just seeing now about adding a LCR splitter to a pre-facelift Cupra and if possible and cant seem to find the part number for the cupra flag badge but with red letters. Only black letters.
Im feeling like spending money today - but not much

But surely after spending that all out on an LC to make it as good as an LCR you could of just got an LCR in the first place and done a serious amount of kitting on that? A remap alone can see well over 260bhp, combine that with an ARB for example and thats a serious car ...

which would you find more exciting a remapped 260bhp LCR or a sick 260bhp LC?

Well i finally got around to it. Re-stitched (or more accurately added stitching) my steering wheel and also added to my passenger seat with red stitching. Will do the drivers seat next week.

Both took a long while and the wheel was a git of a job at first as was trying to get it as the LCR stitching and going in and out of the leather on the steering wheel was difficult. Just proved to be too much hassle and didnt have the patience and just used the existing thread.
I know it doesnt look like the LCR one but it does still look pretty alright

Also spent some hours stitching the passenger seat in red and that came out excellent and was well worth it - especially with the new handbrake cover and gaitor red stitching i recently got. "Makes it pop" just that little bit more.
