Creaky Centre Dash Driving me Crazy!!!

I've just bought a 2001 Arosa Sport and that has a similar problem. It seems to be the passenger air bag. When I hit the dash over that side it stops rattling for a bit until I hit a bump driving. Not quite sure how to fix it without removing the airbag.

Don't think its the airbag in mine cos if I grab hold of the central bit and hold it tight it stops creaking. Think I might have to remove the whole dash! Although it doesn't bother me that much with the Radio turned up high! ;)

It sounds like the same problem as lots of Arosas and Loops have - give it a thwack and it might shut up. If not it could be one of the trays or the radio cage - look at taking them out and popping in some padding or duct tape to make it shut up

I have the same problem on my Seat Arosa S 2004, went to the dealer and they said that it was a known problem. I put a bathroom washer in gap between the centre panel, and the left dash. I pushed it in so that it would act like a wedge. I cut the top off (so you could not see it). Also I had to be very sure that it did not drop inside the dash. But, that rattle/creak was driving me crazy:blink: It is still working today.:)

you could try taking the stereo out and wedging the console fron the inside - might look a bit neater - also check the wiring loom isn't vibrating again any of the plastics - this was driving me mad for a while too.
