Hi, I have a MK4 '52' plate Ibiza TDI Sport 130pd and a creaking noise has developped.
I only got the car a week ago and it started a couple of hours after collected it.
The noise is like a creaking sort of sound and its at low speeds although it it might be that I just cant hear it a higher speeds. Its more so when going over a bump or uneven road but is noticable on smooth roads aswell sometimes, It sounds like its at the front of the car and its really annoying me.
Has anyone had a simular thing on there car ?
The car is up abit on miles at 126k but is in great condition and runs great.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

This could be related to the bushes on the anti roll bar, just a thought.

I don have enough experience to offer a solution though, I had a similar problem after running over a poor badger, a garage adjusted the anti roll bar some how (without changing parts ) and it stopped.

I have this noise too, it comes from the n/s front usually only when it`s wet.
Reckon its a bottom bush or arb.
It`s only just started so I`m not sure yet, will post back if/when I find it.

I'd reckon that it will be the (front) TCA rear bushes if its more of a "mooing" than a creaking. Try spraying some rubber lubricant on the TCA rear bushes, go for a run - if still there try the ARB bushes - and keep on until you have quietened it, but leave enough time between "location spraying" just in case it needs a day or so to "work".
