Creaking/Knocking steering low speed

Evening all,
I recently have had an issue where my leon makes a slight creaking/knocking sound when I turn the wheel when travelling at very low speeds or when stopped, no play in rack, checked suspension over. Thinking strut mounts gone bad. Car seems to pull in both directions on road.. may be unrelated. Wondering has anyone else had this problem and am I into much bother or is might it be something handy fixed.
Cheers

Usually its worn bushings of some sort. Could also be the arb bushings and/or droplinks. Pulling in both directions is also not good, that is something which can be fixed by alignment. The clunking noise might have helped create that bad alignment situation (tyres worn out wrong because of that etc)

I would fix the clunking noise first, then get the alignment done.
