I have spent the last few weeks taking various parts of my car apart desperately trying to find a nasty creaking in the rear of my Cupra. It's a 2000 W so I know it's old and shold buy a new car if I want a creak free one, but I really want to get rid of this one. So far I have tried the following:
1 Put tape around the rear seat locking catch
2 Oiled and greased the place where the rear seats pivot when they fold down
3 Removed the plastic interior sections around the front seat belts and checked all fittings were tight
4 Checked all screws and fittings were tight on all interior trim
But nothing seems to improve the creaking. It is worst when I drive reasonably slowly (30 - 40) over small stutter bumps or uneven road services (but is ok on speed bumps)..... If anyone has any ideas I would be really grateful (I have searched on here and found the suggestions I mentioned above)
