Creaking Doors

I've noticed recently that my doors are creaking when I get in the car to start a journey. Opening and closing the doors are fine, it's when the car is moving. It's like the rubber seals are rubbing against the body. I've never noticed it until a few weeks ago. I've just cleaned my car and noticed the doors can be pushed in (if you press near the top of the Window) and they make the creaking noise.

Has anyone else noticed this, and is it anything to worry about and get checked by Seat?

Use a lub called ( I kid you not) Gummi-pfledg. Got this from a supplier on the net, great stuff, stops all sorts of creaks and groans. Try Micksgarage.com or suppliers on Amazon and ebay.
Sorry misiakupatego didn't see your answer.

Alternative is to wipe your door shuts and rubber seals with a sponge containing Autoglym fast glass...works on mine..then dry with a specific bit of towel for the job. i need to do this after every snowfoam wash or after everytime I wax the car

My 280 did this from early on and usually worse after a good wash. Only really noticed it when driving off the drive at a slight angle. My 300 does it too but it's less noticeable.

I thought my car was falling apart or something. It's only when starting a drive, after a while it goes away. But after a wash is more noticeable. Will try the recommended product though :)

I guess everyone has different experiences.. but I'd really avoid using any lubricants on the door seals/shuts - including gummi pflege. I think in the long run it's likely to make it worse (speaking from experience). I would just occasionally give all the seals and door shuts a good clean with warm, soapy water (I actually use washing up liquid as it will break down any greasy dirt).

The seals creak because they are contaminated so just a bit of elbow grease (no pun intended) seems to work a charm. Obviously I wouldn't recommend washing up liquid to clean the car in general though...

I was always told not to use washing up liquid on rubber seals. The salt content can harden or even dissolve rubber through prolonged use. (I'm a car cleaner). Probably wouldn't do any harm on modern paint, apart from removing any polish or wax. Google it, and draw your own conclusions....

I stopped cleaning the C pillar and the top of the door aperture. They get a quick wipe with a damp microfibre cloth when drying the car but nothing else. This seems to keep the creaks from happening. Sills still get properly washed though.

I used to clean the entire door surround but found it made the seals squeak on the clean surface.

Come to think of it, it has only started happening since I started cleaning the car rather than taking it to the hand car washes.
