creaking and knocking noise in the rear?

I've got a 08 leon sport and I've got a creaking and knocking noise.
its either coming from behind the rear passenger seat where the seat belt comes from. Could it be the seat belt mechanism or mounting inside the panel?

or it could be the in panel next to the small rear window

It worse when you go over bumps etc.

Anyone else had this problem?

Sorry to hear that. I have a noise at that side of my Leon 2008. There is a few threads on this, look around in this forum. (if I am not all wrong, it is always on the left side! That is interesting, do the workers not change place on the production line so the right side of the car gets its share of creaking?)

I get a creak from my seats (I think!) sometimes but I've just lived with it, lol. If you find out what it is, then let me know! :)

I also have this...tried the trick with insulating tape around the seat catch with no luck. Would love to know what it is....

It seems to be near the wheel arch or in the side panel in the boot or under the back seat on the nearside.

mine did the same and i adjusted the rear doo alignment by moving the door catch up slightly and it seemed to tighten the door up and stopped it

Hi,

Not sure if this info is of any use but after i had a front tyre replaced i started hearing a rear rattle in the rear a few days later. I investigaed looking for loose trim, glass, panels, exhaust etc and happened to check the spare wheel area and found the special alloy locking nut key/adapter thing had came out/not been put back and was loose around the spare bay.

Tucked that back into its place and never any noises since.

It is not any problem around the spare wheel for me, but there is always good to look at that area from time to time. A lot of things there that will make noise if not fastened. I have a closer look at the door catch. Take it the the workshop first, not any big hope there anyway...

CRC Lithium Grease solved my problem! A little on the hinge, catch and the door lock. Saves me a trip to the workshop this time.

I have posted a new thread, not sure if they are related?

Have had feedback already to suggest possible wheel bearing.

But mine is usually a wobbling vibrating type of sound which seems to increase as the car accelerates but is often more noticeable at low speeds. Noise seems to come from rear of cabin?

wouldnt describe mine as a knocking noise though.

I will ask the garage to check at next services but always nice to be fore-warned!
