ok so i'm looking for a 312mm brake conversion kit for my front wheels. it's gonna cost about 250 quid, and that's ok.

my question is this, my rear brakes are on the way out, there's a lip forming on the disk. My current 280mm front disks and pads have recently been replaced (august) and work nicely.

WHAT are the chances of being able to move the ENTIRE 280mm brake setup from the front to the back when i get the 312mm setup fitted??? is it just too far out there? would there be issues with abs/fluid pressures? would it just be too much braking power if there is such a thing?

thanks guys!

so from that i guess it wouldn't happen because they would be 'over servod'

might aswell ask the local vag man, it just seems a shame if it wouldn't work and to waste the perfectly good disks i have  i spose i could wear them into the ground before changing. that would be easy ;)

don't TT's have 256mm on the rear? that's bigger than ibiza's isnt it? i dunno sheesh

so it'd be a 32mm jump for the fronts and a 48mm jump for the rears... that is quite a big difference! it'd stop fast if it worked. i just tried calling and they were shut. i can't get this out of my head, i need to know! it'd be AWESOME if it worked :D

oh ps picking my tt brakes up monday for 150 bob. bo selecta!

The TT calipers/ventilated upgrade on the rear is more for looks than braking - it'll affect your handbrake too so beware!
