right down by the front engine mount - it picks up from the flywheel, so it's at the very end of the block.

You need small hands to gain access with the front of the car in palce

Any pics of where it is, or an idiots guide to it (i.e. it's the pink thing on the left hand side of the largest wheel your belt runs over)??


Edit : 'Knock Sensor' in the haynes manual says when replaced, it's performance may be affected if the mounting bolt isn't torqued correctly. I read the Knock Sensor is the same as the CPS - if this is true is the manual correct? What torque should it be tightened to as I don't fancy changing it only to break it again!

knock sensor is not CPS.

my above post tells you exactly where the CPS is.

knock sensors are on the front of the block screwed on. - connectors can be traced from the same place as the CPS wiring loom comes from
