I used auto windscreens, autoglass cost an absolute fortune if you're doing it private. Auto windscreens were half the price.

Don't bother taking the mirror off, that's their job.

Lucky, mine was 125 on the Boca, however due to a build issue it was done at a bodyshop in the end.

haven't you got to use your insurance companies preffered / specified glass installer?

you might want to check your policy before arranging a replacement as they may not payout if you use any other than the company stated in the policy clauses!

If it's an insurance job, then you HAVE to go with the company your insurance recommends. Otherwise you might have to pay more than just the excess. I believe my insurance says something like £50 excess with Autoglass, or half of the bill with anyone else. And with a £450 screen, that's a big difference.
