Cracked Paint!

Hi yally!

I have a 2 inch crack in the middle of the passenger side door. The worst part is that there is a rust dot at one end

I have been trying to get some quotes from local coachwork people, they are recomending re-spraying the whole door which is going to cost between £150-£200. Does this sound about right?

Can anyone recommend anyone in the Reading or Hook (Hampshire) area?

Any ideas of a cheaper way to do this?

:clown:

Cheap is rarely the best option for things like this. Cheap paint jobs will last a while and then quickly turn bad.

Invest your money in a good paint job and you can be sure it will last the life of the car. It's not an area you want to skimp really.

I don't think that quote sounds unreasonable. I can recommend Sunnyside Autos in Reading (Robert Court Industrial Estate, Elgar Road - Off the Basingstoke Road by the Ford dealer), their work is excellent.
