I have an 02 LC. New purchase. Now, it's just had its 'service' light on, so needs it's 30k service.
Q1:Can any garage do this (and consequently remove the 'service light) or does it have to be a VAG garage? My nearest Seat dealer is fecking miles away so wondered if I can just take to a VW dealer?
Q2:My Engine management light came on today. NO discernable symptoms at all, in fact I drove it 200 miles back from Cornwall
with it fine. No loss of power, no noises, coolant, oil, etc all fine.Absolutely nothing wrong I can find and all electrics fine. So, 've searched for threads and it seems resetting the ecu may help in the absence of a VAGCOM unit (anyone with one in Bristol? ) Can I detach the earth terminal? Shouldnt make a difference should it? Unless the ecu earths to chassis?
