Just ran a scan on my LCR and here are the results:

Address 01: Engine
Controller: 1ML 906 032
Component: 1.8l R4/5VT 0001
Coding: 10510
Shop #: WSC 13622
VSSZZZ1MZ3R066517 SEZ7Z0B1797122
3 Faults Found:
17947 - Clutch Pedal Switch (F36): Implausible Signal
P1539 - 35-00 - -
17863 - Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 1 (G235): Implausible Signal
P1455 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17834 - EVAP Purge Valve (N80): Open Circuit
P1426 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 0000 0000

The first one I know all about having changed the clutch pedal switch not too long ago

Any ideas on the other two, especially the last one? I've had the EGT one before but it went away and has now come back again. Strange thing is, when I had the car remapped, the EGT code was not there.

Just had a look around, that might related to the charcoal canister, the black box with some hoses and a cable off the top, in the offside wing between the washer bottle and coolant tank. Check the cable is plugged in correctly and that the wires aren't damaged.

I guess something is wrong as there has been a few pops and bangs when changing down at low revs over the last few weeks. My fuel consumption has also been really high and there is a really strong smell of fumes when standing outside the car.

I've noticed the black box ticking really loudly but after doing some searching it seems that they all tick. I'll check it out tomorrow if I get chance.

The EGT sensor I did search for when I first had the code but didn't have much luck in finding a solution. other than it costs a lot of cash to change it :(

Yeah they all tick. Sounds like the carbon canister could be the issue - the N80 fault code relates to "open circuit" suggests that the cable to it is either disconnected or damaged so start there.

Checked the cable and gave it a clean last night. It was connected fine. Car is going in to have the suspension sorted today so I won't be able to do anything else until I get it back.

Guess I'll just book in with a VAG specialist. I could be searching for the problem for months :D
