Feeling for you.

Mine came back from bodyshop after an insurance job on the back of a transporter. The guy knocked on the door and asked me to sign for the car.

"No way" I said

"Why not?"

"because even though I'm at least 20m away from the car, I can see that the front end is a different shade to the back!"

Serious! They are terrible some of these bodyshops.

They had no choice but to do it if you don't sign for it ... they have to contact the insurance company etc etc and it costs them loads!

I have to say that when the car did eventually come back the finish was like nothing I've ever seen before ... fantastic. Because the manager oversaw the entire repair procedure and the bloke doing it was probably bricking himself.

DON'T SIGN FOR DEFECTIVE GOODS!

if a car was completed like that where i work the Quality Checks manager would KILL US! the marks on the seat are where the door was removed and the car wasnt covered up or window has been left open and rain water has flooded onto your seat and where they havent used a seat cover its now a dirty stain the wing braket has been bent out of shape so when they have put it back on, the bracket isnt in the correct location looks hurendous mate and franckly gives us accident repair techs a harder time!

this is caused from lazyness lack of respect and from a poor worker.

the way to get stuff sorted asap where i work is to forget the mangerof the bodyshop ring up the area manager and exsplain your case and send him the pictures of the work carried out and exsplain you will be getting hold of trading standards in the next few days if it isnt sorted in a quick high quality mannor!

the wheel can be polished off from the looks of it with a power mop and compound the garage will have this equipment so get them to sort it

also there should be a checking in sheet when you dropped the car off to them if the damage on the bonnet and the wheel isnt marked down the complain that and it WILL HAVE TO BE SORTED END OF! TRUST ME!

hope it gets sorted asap for ya also arnald and clark sounds like the worst company to go to so why are so many people still using them?

definatly maybe getting dealer feedback on this forum first before taking it there would have been a better idea  it will get sorted dont make it bother you as you will get it sorted weather it takes 1 month or two months does it matter having a blue scrape and a hidden bent braket for a little longer so you get your car sold in pristine condition!

you will be bummed out if you sell it and end up in a slow diesel van !

if they do it right the 2nd time then i'l keep it.

I was a wee bit worried about a quote by maself as im on ma dads and i was wanting my own no claims

But dad said he'd be happy enough to keep me on his as they helped my brother out with his.

New Quote on the car was £315 for the year, But when i typed it in it came up pd130 on my reg number with the insurance

Rash should i call Seat uk again as they want me to make me do a form about accidental damage or go straight to The seat dealer or the "approved" bodyshop and complain

Or call Arnold Clark?

Good choice rosco mate. Has to be said I understand a bit more what u r going through I went to my local spray place today (know the guy he is spot on amazingly good) anyway asked about these "scratches" on my door pannel and why there was a weird colour bit as if a bad polish had been used anyway turns out there was some previous badly repaired pannel damage and the weird polish like thing was bad blending the scratches are where the filler has split. Also my roof dents and bonet are getting taken out when I have the money £400 dent though

will look mint after ward tho guiness and thats the main thing hey!

rosco dont bother with the lower down managers as they dont care go strait to area manager and exsplain your insident and it should get sorted alot quicker as then the area manager chases and spanks the dealer manager to sort it out trust me!

glad to hear i stopped a fello scner from selling his car :D

if the area manager doesnt get back to you then take it to trading standards and they will kick all there arses! :rifle:
