cordoba keeps stopping

PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP
Afriend of mine owned this car but got rear ended really bad,the back is in bits so he gave it to me ta use as a grass tracker, the prob is when you start it ,it goes for about 2-3 seconds and stops every time.
I think there is a button or a sensor that was activated in the thump of the accident....I had a look but couldnt find it does any1 know where this is??????

sounds like the immobiliser could be kicking in by cutting the fuel pump.....

what kind of cordoba is it? i think you along the right lines with some sort of safety device cutting the fuel supply, my dad old mondeo had one

Its a 99, I also noticed yesterday that the wires are cut going to the lights, would that have any effect on the immobiliser?
