Cordoba clutch pedal problem

Hi all,

I'm out of my comfort zone here as I know nothing about Cordobas, but have been asked by a friend to make some enquiries as he has been offered for sale a cheap as chips 99 Cordoba 1.6 but with a clutch fault. He's willing to get it fixed assuming it's not going to be a nightmare of a job, so hopefully one of you will be able to point me in the right direction!

Basically the clutch pedal has sunk to the floor and won't return, which makes me think possibly a clutch cable fault? Or did this model have a hydraulic clutch? The car still drives with some creative gear changes so I assume the physical clutch itself is good! I know my mk1 Leon had a similar problem which required a new clutch master cylinder which I would expect would be massive money (fortunately mine was just under warranty at the time!)

Over to you!

Dave.

Pedal box is £70 fitting around £200.

You can weld it or you can be even more creative and use metal glue like myself.

Best thing is buy a new pedal box, reinforce it before fitting and then fit.
