Coolant Warning Light...

Just got me a 06 leon 2.0tdi, had it a weekend, done 400 miles, coolant warning light has gone off twice, topped it up twice... anyone else had this issue? or is there anything else i ought to look out for?

cheers, that sorta thing would be covered by the warranty wouldn't it?

depends on if the unit has failed it would say it would be covered, or if (as is normally the case) a stone has gone through it (not covered).

HOWEVER - seeing as you've only had the car for 400 miles, i would suggest that the garage should cover it as obviously it was faulty before you had it .. therefore yes should be covered. (may be worth calling them tomorrow to state that it's loosing water as you've had to fill it twice... to cover your back to make sure they dont say it must have happened when you were driving it.

yeah i had to top it up first time after only about 100 so i'd say something was wrong with it when i picked it up... hope this doens't turn into blagging episode!!!
