hey guys,
out driving today, car was running about 3 hours in total. noticed coolant was low, topped it up and all seemed fine.
Then about 20 mins later the low level light came on, had a look round, was getting worried cos i couldn't find a leak anywhere! Topped it up again anyway and then after about 5 mins more of driving the light came on again, so pulled over and noticed there was coolant peeing out from what looked like the radiator! Let it cool down and topped it up, but there was no leak, so managed to get home as i was 80 miles away, with no loss of coolant!
Had a closer look when got home, pressurised the system and the leak came back again, found it to leaking from the coolant hose that passes past the fans, had been rubbing on it for a while by looks of things! the clip that holds it in place had snapped, gotta get a new hose now! not happy!
anyone else had this problem?? if not i'd check ya hoses to make sure they not rubbing!
