Hiya guys, i know one or two people are in the process of doing this or have actually done it but i'd like to know whats required and a rough price please...

I know the conversion would require the use of golf mk3 vr6 5 stud hubs but thats about the limit of my knowledge!

any details would be awesome!

Why don't you go the wheel adaptor route? will be alot easier.

i would have thought that the adaptors would only work with porsche wheels for example... so the offest is 50, then with an adapter it comes down by 20, if a 20mm adapter is used... i think thats how it works!

**50et, 20mm adaptor takes it to 30et**

i think its how it works...

Nope you can get adaptors so you can fit the following wheels:

All for 4x100 to

4x108 (Audi Ford)
5x100 (VW Audi etc)
5x 120 (BMW)
5x130 (Porsche)
5x114.5 (Mazda/Jap cars)

yeah but say the audi rs4 wheels are et38 if you use a 20mm adaptor on the four stud ibiza the rs4 alloys then become et18 and would stick out of the arches to far

i was a wheel specialist for 3 years so i know what im talking about with regards to pcd etc but the rims i have in mind are ET35 so no room for adaptors which will be at least 20mm thick, leaving the wheels at ET15, no good at all!

back on topic then...any ideas?

callipers should work. if you can get 280mm 5 studs

stub axles are £50 a side, discs £12 a side, wheel bearing kits about £8 a side

Wheel bearings & Hub - £70 per side

roughly....

Leon parts are totally different - that's a daft suggestion.

I made all the suggestions, short of buying the bits for you.......
