I'm currently looking for a new CCM for my Ibiza and I'm struggling with the part numbers. The number on the original module is 6Q0 959 433 E, which I understand is fairly common but some of the ones I've found on Ebay have another three characters after the main code.

The "Q2V" part of this one, for example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-SEAT-IBIZA-ALARM-CONVENIENCE-SYSTEM-CONTROL-UNIT-ECU-6Q0-959-433-E-Q2V-/190826447820?hash=item2c6e2483cc

It seems these relate to how many doors the car has, amongst other things, but I can't see any other numbers or letters on my car's module. So, how important is this part of the code? Will any 6Q0 959 433 E module work?

Thanks!

Thanks Badger, so I could buy any 6Q0 module and it would work correctly but I'd have to get it programmed/coded first, is that right?

OK, where's the best place to get that done? I imagine a main dealer would charge a fair bit.
