:help: I recently noticed that when i get in the Leon all the windows keep steaming up with condensation (bit like when you wash the car and left one of the windows open) and it seems to be getting worse.
Done a search and noticed a few people have leaks on the passanger foot well but it doesnt feel wet on mine...
im 99% sure there is water getting in somehow but i cant find it.
You guys think i could go to the dealers and tell them to fix it or will they just tell me its normal... and as usual fob me off with excuses... :help:

had similar problem on my octavia when i first got it.cure was to turn the climate off a few minutes before the end of a journey. this gets the moisture out of the system and this stops the moisture building up and causing condensation.

Having this problem on mine, never known a car mist up so much, no leaks either.

Noticed it today as the windscreen was dry when I got in the car but there were dry water marks all over the inside, like someone had squirted the screen with pop, could see that it had been so wet on the inside it had run down the screen.

Cleaned it off and just checked now after parking up and allready at the bottom of the screen there is water drops?

Gonna check the seals along the bottom of the windscreen now and try what WeeJase suggested.

mine did that, then i noticed my carpet started getting damp, i had the door cards off the center console out n still couldnt find the leak, had to cut the insulation out as it woz running, took it to the stealers as it was due for a service and turned out to be the bulk head. cost £466 all together, woz quoted £624 originally. my last service they didnt put the rubber cover over the pollen filter properly so my passenger footwell woz soakin as all the water running from the windscreen ended up draining through my filter. got it sorted n it was fine afterwards.

Was serviced when I bought it, but that was it's 1st service @ 6785 miles so no Pollen Filter change (not that I know of anyway)

I always have my A/C on all year round as it helps clear the mist quicker.

Had a look under the bonnet and I take it the Pollen filter is the same as most VAG cars and is in the slot on the passenger side at the base of the windscreen?

There seem to be 2 screws holding a cover in place, is the rubber seal you mention behind this?

Can someone post a Pic of the seal etc and how it should look please?

yeh it is mate, they basically flop over and leave it uncovered so the water just drips off the windscreen through the filter and into the passenger footwell. got told this by a windscreen fitter. cant hurt to check it mate

Mine leaks in the front scuttle and the water drips in the driver's footwell. It's going in AGAIN on Tuesday, but it's already been in 4 times and the dealers still haven't got it right. Going to a new dealers now!

I have my A?C on all the time anyway, plus def no leaks and the pollen filter housing is on nice and tight, so it must be down to the car being cold inside and the sun hitting the windscreen causing it.

Im putting it down to my dog being wet when hes in the car, and obviously leaving some dampnes in boot. Theres no leaks or anything other than that.,.

I had a similar problem with my Fathers Leon. After many visits to the dealer, I was told the problem was to do with the heating system. An eventual replacement blower and something called the 'heater matrix' solved the problem. Although I actually think the dealer didnt actually have a clue.
