We have had a few back with condenstaion problems, this should resolve itself, however if water starts to collect on the inside of the case, take it back to your dealer. Its a warranty part (providing there is water on the inside), not slight condensation.

Isn't condensation water? In which case it can do some harm, especially acting as an electrolyte with all the dissimilar metals on board.

I've been waiting almost 3 months to get the lights on my Ibiza FR changed, but the dealer seems to have forgotten all about me....:censored:

Oh, and apart from that, it makes my shiny car look pretty cack when the headlamps are all fogged up. Sort it out SEAT.

As for the post about all modern headlamps suffering.... The only cars I've ever seem with this problem are all SEAT, no other new cars / new type headlamp units i've seen have this problem. If you have specific examples I'd be happy to hear.

I had a walk on dealer forecourt in Stockport - Couldn't believe how many new Leons had this problem. They do need to sort it if they intend having me as a new owner.

Well i'm damn sure I won't be buying Seat again. Only had mine a year, but its not the little niggles that are putting me off. I'd expect those with any vehicle, some are actually quite unique to the brands and build communities of people who also suffer the same inconveniences

My problem is the complete utter lack of customer service. They are fantastic until they get your signature on the dotted line, and in fact the sales guy I bought my car off is still really friendly every time i've been in the show room, but the after sales is utter sh*t... warranty, customer service, service.... All way down on the satisfaction chart.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I've had 2 Astra's from new (2000 and 2003) that have had it (not latest series model, but the one before)
I've got a Toyota Avensis at present, and this had it (the dealer replaced both under warranty).

i have noticed condensation in the front lights and spoke to my local dealer about it, they advise this is common as the headlamps are vented top and bottom, heat from the engine vents into them on the cold days so when you turn of it then turns into moisture, all seats have this they advise.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmm:confused:

My car is now going in on monday (19/2/07) to try and sort out a rattle i have on the l\s near the glove box and also to possibly replace my head lights for the 2nd time!

it would be nice if a good will gesture was made to give me xenon lights but i doubt this will happen.

I love my car but i totally aggree that the aftersales service seems to be lacking big time and I am pondering my future business with them.

will let you all know the results

I am not sure if the Xenons are affected, but as the heat up quicker the vapour i assume would burn off quicker?

but in a car park with misted up lights does make the car look naff!
