Anyone done this?

I done it on my old 306 and it looked good.

Just in two minds whether to do it on a silver TDI Sport. It's a 5 door so I want to make it look a bit more modern.

Cheap mod anyway. :D

You have 2 options:

1) Mask off the rest of the car, rub down the existing side strips and paint them in situ

2) Buy new trims (~£20 from Seat) and paint off the car

2 usually results in a better job, but costs a little more, and is less risky. And you can't remove the existing side strips as they bend badly (as they are stuck on (with holes to locate them behind)) so become unusable :)

George is right with the two options, i took the second one, purely because it seemed hugely difficult to rub them down properly in situ...

Only problem is, taking them off leaves the adhesive on the paint, which can be taken off with white spirit and a bit of elbow grease..

otherwise, great mod! really makes the car stand out, especially in brighter, shinier colours, such as mine :D
