colour coding engin bay.

i want to give the engine bay a different look, nothin chrome or bling, i now have a red TIP,

option 1....powedercoat the charge pipe and manny red same as the car and keep the red tip. and get black boost hoses
option 2.....buy red boost hoses to go with the red tip and powdercoat the charge pipe and manny anthrasite?
or any other ideas

id say get the red silicon hose kit,its around £100 and it replaces all the little black hoses,looks quite smart,im thinkin about it too.just got my red TIP through.

btw,is a TIP easy to install?DIY material or should i take it to a garage?

its not to bad just an arse to get the old clips off.

You can buy a flexi long nut runner/ hose clip driver in Helfrauds, makes it sooo much easier! Thank Feel for the tip!

most jubilee clips have a 7mm head if you dont want to buy an extended nut runner you can use a socket with an extension bar. not too big though otherwise you will overtighten it. i use a little 1/4 " drive set.
If its really awkward to get to you could put the universal joint piece in too.
I also have a TIP on order and was hoping everything was already jubileed but are those crap 1 use clips on some of the ports???

Red pipes in the photo shop look good mate. Only thing is when i had my wheels done i asked about getting my charge pipe and inlet manifold shadow chromed so they were more black and they siad they could but it mght go a bit funny due to the heat etc
