Any ideas what may be the cause...I know it could be a long list of things but is this a common problem?

When the engine is stone cold it would intermitantly start to misfire quite badly for a good 20 seconds.

Never seemed to have an issue when warm...always seems to be when on choke.

I have tried changing the choke/temp switch just cos i had a new one lying around.

It's not a real issue...it just sounds dog rough:wtf:

A misfire is hard one to track, without more detail or engine mileage etc - sounds like it could be maf related! or your injectors need a good flush out, or a spark plug / coil pack on a the way out! probally dosen't help you much, but i'd start with these things first! or just take it to seat and see what they say!
