I have them fitted. They have a skinnier front spring and disc on top of that, so you need to get the bearings for the MK2 model as well, as your original bearing doesn't sit on the disc, resulting in a 'clunking' sound

you're absolutely right. But I'm saying that if a bargain came up or something you might wanna buy it. That's what I did not knowing it came from the previous model. But, when I read on here that it doesn't fit, I have to inform others that thats not entirely correct.

Rear is no different. They are skinny for previous model and on ours.

Like said, front you need a different bearing (skinny one). Actually you also need different top mounts to house the bearing perfectly, which I did get but they were too small to fit the three screws where you put upper strut brace... :(

so I left the OEM ones and put the bearing in that. works fine, and as said no more horrible clunking like when I drove without bearing :whistle:

Note though: if you're buying new then obviously opt for the right model ;)
