Coilover fitting - top mounts?!?

Hi all,

I have just received my v-maxx coilover kit, new top mounts and bearings.

I have a question regarding fitting...

The coilovers have a "thin" coil and helper spring all the way up to an aluminium "cone".

The standard top mounts and bearing I have are obviously ment for the standard springs so the bearing mounting face (for the standard spring) is much larger that the top the the aluminum "cone" on the top of the coilover.

I have trial fitted the top mounts and bearings to the coilover but I don't like the look of the way the "cone" sits in the bearing.. (it's only contact to the bearing is on the very inside of the bearing if you see what I mean).

Is this correct? Am I worrying about nothing? Have I got he right kit?

Anyone fitted similer coilovers before?

Cheers,

Adam.

The ones in the pic are not mine... I just used that pic as an example of the top mounts... the ones I have are slightly different.

I only bought the V-Maxx ones as Badger Bill said he used them on his wifes lupo and they seamed ok.
