I have these for my cupra r.

although that kit comes with the adapter plate where as mine are all single adapters.

they supposedly are more reliable and hold a better consistent spark when the engine is being pushed hard where as the normal 1.8t ones don't. I don't know how true this is just what ive heard from various tuners etc. in the real world I have noticed no difference to my old coils.

only difference ive seen is the engine bay looks a lot neater and because the coils are red it goes with the colour scheme of my engine bay

The ones in your link say auq but not bam.

Could I just buy them as they are in that link?

Really cheap for a set of 4!

I've got a friend with a bam s3, got his car remaped and was running like a bag of nails under hard boost. Swapped to the 2.0 coils and hasn't had a problem since. Smoother idle as well. Maybe due to the updated coils ? (Or the standard had just failed I'm not sure) but certainly changed his car haha

I switched to the 2.0l on my 2002 Cupra AUQ over 2 years ago. Not really any difference apart from I haven't had a single one go pop as yet. Went through quite a few 1.8l versions before I swapped. So thumbs up for reliability.
