Hi guys not posted for ages, thanks to my very reliable Ibiza FR 1.9tdi 2006....
However, a few weeks ago, as I was driving my best mate to his wedding where I was best man, my turbo blew up...thats another story!
Anyway, my turbo has been reconditioned by Midland Turbo. Car drives ok but the garage guy mentioned some of my pipes were looking worn round the fittings, he put a few jubilee clips on and said it would be ok.
It drives pretty well and pulls through most gears but I've noticed it feels different in 2nd. It revs a lot, doesnt pull and just feels a bit slow, I change into third, it feels like it kinds of "bites" and then pulls like a train.
Its been remapped for the last 60k miles before the turbo went. Can a new turbo affect the old map? How many miles does the clutch normaly last?
It may just be me being paranoid but it definitely feels a bit different. In higher gear though at high speed it feels better than ever.
So turbo...old pipes....clutch??
Cheers!
