Clutch Pedal Switch Adjustment?

I have recently replaced the master cylinder on my Leon due to it failing on me.

The problem is that the car now revs high during energetic gear changes. I have traced it to the adjustment of the clutch pedal swith as I found out that they are adjustable (via dealer) but still can't get it adjusted correctly.

Can someone please explain the correct way of fitting these switches so that they work correctly.

Fyi I have managed to adjust it so far so that it operates when the clutch pedal is halfway down and i can feel the rod in the switch at the end of its travel. This has improved it a little but I need the switch to operate just as I press down on the pedal so that it can cut the revs early.

Many thanks, that guide was exactly what I was looking for. The brake switch in the guide is the same as the Leon Clutch Switch.

Looks like I have a little work to do tonight :)
