clutch pedal removal

does anybody know how t remove the clutch pedal on a mk3 ibiza cupra my pedal box snapped and need to remove the pedal to fix the weld just cant figure out how to get the pedal off!

This is yet another commen fault with these cars, i think most people found it easier to weld the pedal without removing the box. I personally have no idea because mine is yet to snap.

Nasty, Hope it didn't snap whilst you were driving. My pedal box started to crack and I just caught it by placing a strong bit of metal/bracket to it in situ.

SEAT Told me that the problem is not only there is a thin bit of metal there they said it can indicate that the clutch pressure plate springs are having a problem and that more force is required to apply the clutch pedal which in the end weakens the metal and then Snap! - Mine is operated by a clutch cable but some Mk3's have hydraulic clutches I think.

You could try removing that little parcel shelf bit of plastic under the steering wheel column and the fuse cover box to the right and this might allow you to see the pedal box better but it is a pig of a place to get too isn't it.
