As some might have guessed from a previous thread, I MIGHT need a new clutch.
The question is, is it coverd under my warranty? I'm quite happy to pay out (esp cos I'll probs get to visit JBS, and it's likely not going to be my money i spend hehe), however would a new clutch at 31k in a 54 plate LCR be a warranty job?
Or is it not covered under Seat Warranty?

Its a tricky one, 31K is not many miles for a clutch but if you been riding it and/or driving hard then it could be down to you. But if a dealer decides the clutch was faulty you will be OK. Depends on what they find when they take it out

I'd guess that it wouldn't be covered under warranty because it's a part that does wear out like brake pads & tyres.

What you could possibly argue though is that it's not reasonable for the clutch to have worn out in 31k miles / 18 months, and that it should be replaced either free of charge or that SEAT pay some of the cost of replacement. You would end up with a SEAT clutch though and not the one from JBS :(

how much is a jbs clutch wats th benefit of it

around 700 all in for a sachs 310lb/ft clutch or around 500 for a standard...
I'm a bit of clutch rider so I figured a stronger one might do me a few favors in the long run.

it is a bit of a grey area tbh.
Problem being they will need to take the box out and if found to be wear and tear they will charge you for a new clutch which being from a dealer won't be cheap.then you will have to pay again to have the upgraded clutch fitted as i can't see SEAT doing it for you as they will want it off the ramps asap

New Clutch

Had mine replaced under waranty at 40K service in March, apparently there are a bad batch of clutch springs potentially fitted to pd150's, problem only shows up in cold weather in 5th and 6th at a bit less than 2k.
