Clutch.....HELP !! 54 plate tdi fr cupra

Hi peeps,
really need some advice pretty quick.
My warranty runs out on monday 3 years old i have just had it mot'd and serviced at seat and have just noticed my clutch slips if i put my foot down in 3rd. I have never had it chipped, and i just phoned the dealer, he said bring it in and we will see what is wrong with it but he said that it is a hydraulic clutch and that they are not cheap!! i was hoping to get it sorted before the warranty runs out and as i have only done 13000 miles i told him it shouldn't need renewing yet!!! should it?? what are my options please or has anyone ideas on how i should tackle this situation?? many thanks for any replies

Certainly shouldnt need replacing at 13k!

Unless you have been proper riding or abusing the clutch to buggery, no chip/remap so no extra power transfered through clutch? If not then its got to be a manufactoring problem resulting in a weak point..

Only does it in 3rd gear?

Thanks for the reply, i thought 13k was low milage to be needing a new clutch, it will do it in other gears but most noticeable in 3rd, i get it to about 30mph and put my foot down in 3rd and the clutch starts to slip. also i thought as the clutch wore out it would bite lower down but seems to be biting right at the top.
