Ok im probably getting a pain now!


Seen some clocks for a 2003 cupra on ebay. I have the pre-facelift 2001 - black dials, these are white, so id like the white dials!

The plastic screen on the clocks is scratched, so 3 questions really.

Will the 03 clocks fit into the 01 lc?

Can i swap my plastic screen for the scratched one?

Is it easy to swap clocks?

not sure bout fitting think they need to be coded to car for imobiliser but clear lens is eas to change just clips round the edge, did it when i fitted tacho rings!

when you fitted your tacho rings did you have to take the clocks out?

you will probably be better off fitting just the white facia onto your old clocks.as mentioned above you would have to get the new clocks coded so it's alot easier to just swap the facia plates over to your old clocks

Yep clocks come out for Rings quite easy if ya got a steady hand. Dont use superglue to fix them it goes white and easy to spot! front half of clocks inc glass and dial surround just unclips from body!

Does anyone know if you can buy just the white fascias from dealers, and if you can, any idea how much? I`ve seen on another thread that it costs around £200 quid for the whole insert.
