Hi, I have tried searching with no luck :(

The climatronic has died on my car. The unit works fine and I have plugged a friend's working unit into mine. I have tried all fuses on the left of the dash and every one works, is there just the one fuse for it?

VCDS does not find the control module 08 so does not return a fault and without a wiring diagram i cannot work out the issue

Any help greatly appreicated

Is there any specific part that you need the wiring for mate? It's quite a big system. Sounds like your problem is that the control module isn't connecting to the main system. I'll have a look on elsawin for you when i get home 2moz if no one can help before then.

Cheers guys, just struggling to understand why it has packed in although just red this on the link Big John put:

"The Climatronic control unit -J255- is located in the dash panel insert in one component together with air conditioning system/Climatronic operating and display unit -E87-. To enable quick detection of a fault when a component fails or there is an open circuit, the control unit is equipped with a fault memory which can be read using vehicle diagnosis testing and information system -VAS 5051-.
Should a fault be detected in one of the monitored sensors or components, it is stored in the fault memory.
If a fault has been stored, the Climatronic will be switched off either partially or entirely depending on the severity of the fault."

It's strange that vagcom can't find the module though. What happened when you plugged your friends unit in? Did it work ok? Did vagcom find that?

Ah glad to hear you sorted it mate. Saves digging through loads of wiring diagrams etc, there are SO many for the climatronic. You should get yourself a copy of elsawin from ebay mate, all the wiring diagrams are included in that, along with steps to remove all the componants etc.

I had a problem with the fan in my climatronic last night but sorted that today too, so all good.
