Climate control

New to this. Just picked up my 55 reg Ibiza Cupra TDI. Bit confused by the climate control. There appears to be a front demister button on the left of the console (not the rear heater above), which as the manual says is for the front window. However If I press this to clear it nothing appears to happen. I do not get any indication on the screen that this is doing something and the airflow does not increase to the vents directed towards the window. The rest of the climate control is working fine. Am I doing something wrong? Or do I need to get them to look at this when they sort out the condensated lights!!!
