Climate control problem

Hi, I have a Seat leon 1.9 se, Which has climate control, now the heater is really good what ever the I set the tempreture at it seems to be fine, a few days ago, I thought I would try the lo (Low setting below 18c) now I expected it to blow freezing cold air, but all I can say it was cool, a little cooler that 18C, is this normal, my air cooling symbol was showing, I had it on for about 10 minutes and still no change, the outside tempreture was 12C so I dont know if this had anything to do with it, will it work better if it was say 20C outside or should it blow freezing cold air all the time on the lo setting, I am comparing this to an old car of mine that had air conditioning and not climate. anyone got any views on this.

Regards Keith

air con may need recharging mate, does the engine stutter slightly when the snow flake symol is turned on? that would indicate if the air con pump is working ok, hope this helps!

Are you sure that the 'econ' is disabled?

I know the climate control in my car needs the econ to be switched off when I want really cold air so that the compressor can be engaged which (as far as I know) won't engage while econ is on to save fuel.
