As per title, Do any of you folks know what needs to be used to clean the filter element on the Neuspeed P-flo airfilter!??, Can you use the same stuff/detergent that it used to clean K&N filters!??

Also is this filter a dry type or a wet type element (Like a K&N airfilter!?), I got mine 2nd hand so i'm not sure whether or not it needs a filter oil on the element, but i seem to think that this filter is a dry type and as such has no oil for dirt retention!?!

Lastly (& this might sound stupid), but just HOW LOUD are these induction kits (from outside the car) when there's boost!? I've had both front windows down for the 1st time in ages today as i came back from Santa Pod, and the amount of noise/hissing/whistling you can hear from the turbo outside the car seems rather quite a lot - is this normal!??? I know that sounds like a daft question, but it's been THAT LONG since i've driven with both front windows down that i can't recall just HOW LOUD the induction makes things from outside the car when moving! It's almost got me a bit paranoid that something has come adrift and i've got a boost leak or somet like that, but the car still feels pretty damned quick!!

Hopefully it's just me that's not used to hearing it like that and this is just how loud they are!!:D:confused:

The Neuspeed is a K and N filter

i use the K and N cleaning kit to do mine , every 10,000 miles or so.

Just done go too mad with the red oil , Let it dry then dab the cone with tissue paper to remove the excess oil before putting it back on the car.

I wash mine and leave it in the airing cupboard overnight to dry , oil it in the morning , let it dry again for about an hour , dab it then refit it.

The whooshing noise is not so prominent on a cleaned filter but soon comes back , as darth vadar always does lol.

Had one on my TT and its a K and N filter, dunno if its the same as your one but they recommended cleaning every 50k as the dirt build up was actually supposed to help...

and yeah, K and N cleaning stuff, detergent and red oil
