cigarette lighter not working

hey. the cigarette lighter and light aren't working. the fuse has been replaced previously, witha 15amp one.
i've checked and its not blown, but just wondering if this is the right amp fuse??

when i press the lighter in, it goes in for a couple of seconds and pops right out again. it gets warm, but not enough. plus the light doesn#t work either.

when they heat up there must be a little metal strip that bends and releases it when its hot enough. may need a tweek one way or another to set the right temperature? mine does that sometimes, i just hold it in till its hot enough.

i've tried another cigarette lighter in it,and it does the same thing. also, when i do hold it in, it doesn't seem to get any hotter .

no lights are on either, so i'm thinking it must be related. cheers though

well for it to get even warm means that there is power getting to it....try getting a multimeter and checking the power output from it

right, i'll check that.. get the stuff to test it from work.

does anyone know about the light? one located to the right of the cigarette lighter? does it run off the same circuit?
